Featuring their family crest, the new clear glass bottle offers a fresh, contemporary look, while showcasing the lush, gorgeous color of their Sparkling Rosé. The updated label, reminiscent of Venetian design, proudly celebrates their Italian heritage.

Vineyards:
The Bisol Family is the founding family of Prosecco Superiore, home of the highest quality Prosecco vineyards.

Wine:
The Jeio line is inspired by the influential Desiderio Bisol, whose wife lovingly referred to him as Jeio. The father of the current owners, Desiderios is dedicated to product quality, acquiring only the steepest plots. While considerably more difficult to work, these plots are ideal for vine cultivation. As a result of his vision, the Glera cultivated in these vineyards is especially rich in malic acid, making the final wine more dynamic and evolved. Only the best Glera grapes are selected from Bisol’s 35 plots in Valdobbiadene to make the highly aromatic Jeio Brut.

About the Winery:
Jeio is the fruit of two interwoven love stories. The first of generations of the Bisol family who have faithfully cared for their vineyards and within this same family, there is the love of a wife who affectionately gave her husband Desiderio Bisol, the nickame “Jeio.”

Eco-Practices: Sustainable

Critical Acclaim: 93 pts Wine Enthusiast 2022; 91 pts Tasting Panel 2021; 90 pts Wine Enthusiast 2020

Wine:
Crémant d’Alsace Brut Rosé is a sparkling rosé from 100% Pinot Noir. The brut-style wine’s red berry aromas of strawberry and raspberry lead into mouth-filling, juicy flavors and lively acidity.

Vineyards:
Pierre Sparr’s sparkling wines use grapes that are farmed sustainably, dry-farmed (no irrigation), and hand-harvested. Located in the Vosges hillsides and Rhine valley, elevation 200 to 400 meters (656 to 1,312 feet), primary eastern and southern exposures.

Harvest Notes:
Dates for the beginning of harvest for each Alsace AOC are set by decree, generally 100 days after the median date of flowering, at the time when the grapes display the best sugar-to-acid ratio. Intended vineyards for sparkling wine must be declared in advance of harvest and must be picked by hand. Grapes destined for Crémant are generally picked a few days before those for still wines in Alsace.

Winemaking:
Whole-cluster pressing; first fermentation occurs in temperature controlled, stainless-steel vats, transforming the must into still wine. Six months later, wines from hillsides and valley floor are blended to achieve the distinctive flavor profile of the rosé. Blended wine is then bottled with a specific yeast added to relaunch the second fermentation in bottle. The wine rests on lees a minimum of 18 months prior to disgorgement. Finally, the dosage is added to provide the particular brut style of this sparkling wine.

About the Winery:
The origin of winemaking in the Sparr family dates back to 1680. Generations later, Charles Sparr developed the business that his son, Pierre, later took the succession at the age of 20. Pierre had a distinct sense for business, making him a pioneer of “estate bottled” wines in Alsace. Pierre also had the courage and obstinacy to rebuild their entire estate after Sigolsheim and its vineyards were completely destroyed during WWII. In doing so, Pierre rebuilt one of Alsace’s most beautiful and prestigious Domaines. Today, with the help of the 9th generation, Pierre Sparr remains focused on producing quality wines, a pure expression of Alsace, that are aromatic, fruity, elegant, clean and vibrant. Pierre Sparr wines are food-friendly and accessible for everyday consumption. Learn more here.

BUBBLY WINE STYLE

“The Mirabelle Blanc de Blancs has bright and fresh aromas of Pink Lady apple, lemon-lime and warm wheat toast intermingled with layers of apricot, baked pineapple, and toasted almonds. Its vibrant flavors of orange blossom, lemon zest and pear bring a tartness to the mid-palate that carries to a long, flavorful finish.” -Winemakers Sean Thompson, Jessica Koga and Hugh Davies

While this wine can be enjoyed by itself as an apéritif, it is also perfect with fresh oysters and other shellfish, crab cakes, ceviche and grilled sea bass. It is also delicious with fried chicken, tempura and a variety of fried dishes. Serve with aged Gruyère or Comté, and as a counterpoint to semi-soft aged cheese.

Analysis: 12.6% alcohol / volume
Varietal:
100% Chardonnay
Appellation: North Coast, California
County Composition: 56% Napa, 42% Sonoma, 1% Mendocino, 1% Marin
Total Acidity: 6.2 g/mL
Residual Sugar: 9.0 g/mL
pH: 3.38
Barrel Fermentation: 23%

Production & Winemaking:
Mirabelle is Schramsberg’s multi-vintage brut sparkling wine. Twenty-five years into building an outstanding range of vintage dated sparkling wines, the Davies family set out to master the non-vintage or “multi-vintage” traditional method technique. A few years of experimentation would ultimately lead to the successful launch of Mirabelle Brut and Mirabelle Brut Rose in 1992. Starting in 2023, the Davies family, proprietors of Schramsberg Vineyards and Davies Vineyards, presents this exceptional bottling of the Mirabelle Blanc de Blancs.

Mirabelle Blanc de Blancs (white from whites) is made from Chardonnay, one of the classic three grape varietals used in champagne. This flavorful, bright bubbly exhibits the crisp acidity and vibrant apple/citrus fruit that is characteristic of cool climate Chardonnay. The grapes are grown in the unique pockets of California’s North Coast, including the Napa-Carneros, Sonoma Coast, Mendocino County, and Marin County. The fruit is hand-picked in the early morning hours at optimal maturity. Individual lot fermentations allow the winemakers to carefully select the components that make up the finished blend. After bottle fermentation and two years of aging en tirage, subsequent trials determine the ideal dosage to finish this lively, fruitful style.

About Schramsberg Vineyards:
SB-Script-LogoIn 1965, Jack and Jamie Davies established Schramsberg as a sparkling wine estate on the property originally founded in 1862 by German immigrant Jacob Schram. At a time when there were only 22 bonded wineries in Napa Valley and fewer than 100 acres of California vineyards planted to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, they set out to make world-class sparkling wine in the true méthode champenoise style. Theirs was the first California winery to provide a Blanc de Blancs in 1965 followed by a Blanc de Noirs in 1967. Now their son Hugh Davies, who was born the same year the Davies arrived at Schramsberg, leads the winery’s management and winemaking team. Learn more here.

Bottlerocket Spritz
Rosé, Blood Orange, Botanicals
Columbia Valley, Washington

BUBBLY WINE STYLE

Chill, pop, and party! The Bottlerocket Spritz has a proprietary mix of botanicals with blood orange citrus added to the mix. The primary botanical is Gentian root, which is the main bitter in Campari and Aperol. The bitters counterbalance the red fruit and the bitterness is like red wine tannins.

Analysis: 9% alcohol / volume
Varietal:
Sparkling Rosé – Botanicals and Blood Orange Citrus

Winemaker Notes:
Bottlerocket is a fruit, botanical and sativa terpene infused rosé spritz. Its full flavored yet delicately balanced between high tone red fruit, ripe blood orange, a touch of botanical bitter and just a kiss of sweetness. The sativa terpenes carry an herbal note but more importantly adds a gentle yet euphoric lift to the experience making it unlike other wines on the market. Bottlerocket Spritz is a one-of-a-kind ultra-premium wine cocktail that combines sparkling Rosé, Aperol spritz-like notes and a mood boost from the terpenes.

Crafted with Rosé that is sourced from dedicated, cool climate Rosé vineyards in Columbia Valley, Washington. The vineyards are at 1,100 feet elevation, which ensures gentle ripening and allows complex flavor development and natural acidity without much alcohol. The dynamic fruit and natural acidity helps with the long-term integrity of the wine.

Sativa terpenes harvested from fruits and vegetables (not hemp or cannabis) that include Beta caryophyllene, linalool, D-limonene create a gentle euphoric lift and mood boost to the experience. Just as mezcal and high-quality agave spirits give a slight lift to your buzz due to naturally occurring terpenes in agave, Bottlerocket delivers a similar alert and happy feeling. These terpenes also have a citrusy herbal flavor bringing a complexity and savory note to the blend.

Bottlerocket is just 9% alcohol by volume and carbonated to a Prosecco level. They use real fruit and botanicals and aren’t filtering or using preservatives beyond (just minimal S02) to ensure the most distinct full flavors, please expect a hazy hue.

Label:
Bottlerocket is inspired by energy and soul, and Bieler wanted the label to communicate movement and lift.  The label perfectly captures the euphorically delicious experience of Bottlerocket Spritz.

From April to June of the year after the harvest

For an average of 25 months
Dosage at disgorgement: Equivalent to four grams of sugar per liter

Vinification:
The base wines for Cuvée Prestige are crafted from meticulously selected grapes, expertly vinified in strict adherence to the Metodo Ca’ del Bosco. Upon harvest, the grapes are picked, graded, and chilled, each bunch undergoing careful selection by trained professionals before being processed through an exclusive “berry spa.” This system involves a thorough bunch washing and jet spray process, incorporating three soaking vats and a drying tunnel. The grapes are then crushed in an oxygen-free environment, and the resulting musts are fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks until the following March.

The wine undergoes an additional seven months of aging to clarify, mature, and reveal the distinct characteristics of its vineyard origin. Subsequently, the wines are meticulously blended with reserve wines from the best vintages, accounting for 20% to 30% of the final cuvée, in a process that imparts the Cuvée Prestige with its unique character. This special technique captures the essence of Franciacorta as envisioned by Ca’ del Bosco. Only after an average maturation period of 25 months does this Franciacorta reach its full expressive depth. The disgorgement process is performed in an oxygen-free environment, utilizing a patented system by Ca’ del Bosco that eliminates oxidative stress and the need for additional sulfites. This process results in a purer, more appealing, and longer-lived Franciacorta. Finally, each bottle is individually marked to ensure traceability.

About Ca’del Bosco:
Ca’del Bosco, founded by Annamaria Clementi Zanella in the Erbusco hills, has a rich history of innovation and quality in winemaking. Beginning with high-density vineyards and the production of its first wine (Pinot di Franciacorta Bianco) in the late 1970s, the winery expanded under Maurizio Zanella to introduce notable offerings like the Cuvée Annamaria Clementi, named after his mother. Embracing modern techniques while maintaining its identity, Ca’del Bosco produces acclaimed wines, including the Vintage Collection and Cuvée Prestige. The winery also promotes art through initiatives like the Ca’del Bosco Sculpture Award, celebrating over 50 years of heritage and excellence in winemaking. Learn more here.

The dosage for this wine is 8 mls of BdB LEX, 8 mls of Rued Chardonnay, 2 mls of 1986 LD Blanc de Blancs.
Accolades: 94 pts. Wine Spectator – “A bubbly with richness and verve, this cuvée offers lilting apple tart, crème brûlée and lemon verbena flavors that finish with a spicy, fresh ginger accent.” – T.F 9/23
Vineyard:

  • Soils: The Iron Horse estate is in the heart of Green Valley’s cool and foggy climate, 13 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The predominant soil-type is called “Gold Ridge”, a sandy loam that has excellent drainage and is perfectly, inherently balanced, making it one of the most coveted soil types, especially for growing Pinot Noir.
  • Farming: The certified sustainable estate features 164 acres under vine, planted exclusively to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir across a patchwork of gentle, rolling hills. Each of the 39 blocks has been planted with site-specific rootstock and clonal selections, enabling Iron Horse to farm, harvest, and vinify each block separately.
About Iron Horse Vineyards:
Founded in 1976 by Audrey and Barry Sterling, Iron Horse has become a prominent name in American sparkling wine. Located in the cool microclimate of the Green Valley AVA, the estate spans 300 acres, with 164 acres dedicated to vineyards split equally between Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Today, the second generation—Joy Sterling and her brother Laurence—manage the estate, focusing on enhancing vineyard practices, adopting regenerative agriculture and sustainability initiatives, and supporting their community and the environment. Awards: 91 pts. – Wine Enthusiast

In the Vineyards:
With nearly forty years of experience in Sonoma County, the winemaking team source from more than 20 growers, some of whom, like the Greene, Young and Ledbetter families, have been supplying grapes for more than three decades. Many growers have adopted voluntary no-till farming practices, with a strict adherence to hillside ordinances. Sustainable agriculture and integrated pest management techniques have been integrated and organic or naturally derived fertilizers are utilized, while composted grape material is used as fertilizer to increase water efficiency and help build soil structure.

In the Cellar:
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc fruit is hand picked and brought directly to the winery. Each parcel is pressed and fermented separately, creating an extensive selection of base wines to choose from. Winemaker Keith Hock then tastes each component and selects those base wines that show potential to produce exceptional wine. The cuvée is placed en tirage for secondary fermentation in the bottle prior to disgorgement. Finally, a small percentage of older reserve wine is included in the liqueur d’expedition adding further complexity and texture.

House Style:
The Piper Sonoma house style is focused on precision and attention to detail. Each wine displays a balance between fruit expression, complexity and texture, to create wines that are immediately approachable and can further develop with bottle aging.

About Piper Sonoma:
Piper Sonoma was founded in 1980 by the Marquis d’Aulan family, direct descendants of the Piper family. Recognizing Sonoma as a great growing region for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and believing in its terroir, the family’s vision was to produce world-class sparkling wines in the New World, using old-world winemaking techniques. Nearly forty years later, the Piper Sonoma winemaking team continues to realize that vision and hand crafts premium sparkling wines under the guidance of long-time winemaker Keith Hock.

BUBBLY WINE STYLE

Schramsberg’s Brut Rosé is fruitful, complex and dry, making it both versatile with food and delicious by itself as an apéritif. The character of the wine is strongly influenced by bright, flavorful Pinot Noir grown along the coast from southern Mendocino County to northern Marin County. A few small lots of Pinot Noir are fermented in contact with their skins to add depth and subtle color to this vibrant sparkling wine. Chardonnay gives spice, structure and length on the palate.

“The 2019 Brut Rosé opens with enticing aromas of raspberry, strawberry and peach, intermingled with layers of lemon shortbread, brioche and a hint of white florals. A bright entry of watermelon, cherry-limeade, candied orange and sugar cookie leads to a long quenching finish.” – Winemakers Sean Thompson, Jessica Koga and Hugh Davies

Production & Winemaking:
Hand picking, careful handling and gentle pressing produce a wine of delicacy, aromatic purity and depth. Following the fall harvest and fermentation of the base wines, extensive tasting trails are carried out in the spring to create a polished blend reflective of the vintage. The finished blend undergoes a second fermentation in bottle before aging on its yeast lees for about two years, just enough to achieve refined effervescence and toastiness without diminishing its refreshing, vibrant appeal.

For 2019, winter brought an abundant amount of rainfall which helped restore the water reservoirs that had suffered from years of drought. With additional late rains in May, the vines had ample water for the growing season. The transition from veraison to full ripeness was very consistent due to the warm, but not hot, temperatures that were maintained during the summer. Harvest started slightly later than average, and in the end brought a bountiful crop with exceptional fruit structure, depth of flavor, and bright acidity.

Hugh Davies was born in 1965, the year his parents, Jack and Jamie Davies, revived the historic Schramsberg Vineyards property in Napa Valley. Forty years later, Hugh was named president and CEO of the then 40-year-old sparkling wine house. Prior to 2005, he held the dual responsibilities of winemaker and general manager for the winery. He serves on the board of directors for the Napa Valley Vintners (president 2006), and with his family, chaired the 2004 Auction Napa Valley. For prior hands-on experience in the wine industry before joining Schramsberg, Hugh worked with Möet et Chandon in Epernay; Petaluma Winery in South Australia, and Mumm in Napa Valley, among others.

Learn more

The nose features notes of Meyer lemon blossom, baked brioche, pear and a hint of green apple with vibrant minerality. The palate is fresh but complex. Satsuma citrus with echoes of pear. Opens round and creamy, then turns zesty with bright natural acidity carrying through to the finish.

Varietal: 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir – Being non-vintage allows the winery to build a desired character that is serious, yet light and fresh.

Serving Suggestions from Winemaker, Jenny Wagner: Cheese puff with biscuit dough, smoked salmon tartine, popcorn or just enjoy on its own.

Winemaker Notes:
“My goal is to create an elegant wine with a richly developed character. Even tough this is a California sparkling, I take inspiration from my favorite Champagnes.” – Jenny Wagner, Owner and Winemaker

About the Winery:
“Emmolo is the name of my mom’s side of the family, which has a long farming history in Napa Valley.  My mom, Cheryl Emmolo, has no brothers and wanted to keep the name alive. She dreamed of making wine using family vineyards, and I feel very fortunate that she passed the reins on to me. When I showed my first wine to my grandparents, it was very emotional for all of us.” – Jenny Wagner

Emmolo Winery, established by Cheryl Emmolo in 1994, is deeply rooted in the rich wine history of Napa Valley. Cheryl’s vision was to honor her family’s long-standing tradition in the region, dating back to her grandfather, who operated a vine nursery in the 1920s. Today, her daughter Jenny Wagner has taken the helm as the winemaker, emphasizing minimalist winemaking techniques that showcase the unique characteristics of their varietals. Through a delicate balance of tradition and innovation, Emmolo continues to produce exceptional wines that are a tribute to their heritage and a delight to wine enthusiasts. Learn more here.
